Continuing on the built forms language, to compliment and engage in a dialogue with the Wyong Art House Theater, the courtyard flows beyond the boundary, playing with the park, providing visual and physical access back toward the public sphere, recognising the fundamental relationship between art centers and the community.
From the threshold of the building and the courtyard the spaces are flipped, the gaze is held in tight nooks creating external rooms (enclosed feeling spaces that are generated without hard walls). Here users can engage back towards the functions of the art center, yet have a small escape from robust art work to other creative agencies.
In this project, I worked with direction from the Lead Landscape Architect through design development and design resolution.
