In the summer of 2020 - 2021 I took work placement with SASA Art Projects and New Khmer Architecture Virtual projects, along with three other students, Emily, Sal and Dalin.

We were tasked with documenting and communicating with the community of the former Pasteur Institute Medical Facilities.

Through this process we developed a principle of facilitation processes, which helped us navigate approaching communities who are generally skeptical or hesitant of external actors approaching them and their space.

 

The hope of the project was to establish legal documentation for the community to receive legal recognition of their claim to this space, which would in-turn help the community receive funding that could go towards restoration of the site. However, due to C.O.V.I.D the project has been cut short and may recommence post pandemic if time prevails.
