The Brief: Social housing does not receive the recognition it deserves. The relationship between social housing to the street level and wider community is absent and distant at best. This distance has allowed for sterotypes to exhasabate and is one of the cuases of negative identity toward social housing and its tenants.

The Design: The large gallery space is separated into smaller rooms were different activities, such as street performers, art, dances, seating, bookshelves or nothing at all will be on display. The walls the rooms that these functions will be happening in will shift translucency, allowing for visuals to cross and allow interest to engage the viewer. This will illustrate the importance of design to enage the visitor to a space. The second aspect of the design will be its permiability, once a visitor is engaged they must join the space and not sit idol beyond the space watching. This is illustrated by the complexity of curtin, where the transparent side would be less dense and permiable whilst the opaue would have a higher density making the passage into the space less desirable. all spaces are accessable via the curtins and its incouraged to pass through spaces and explore, however, the design is to illustrate the boundries we place on spaces, inperticular the visual obstructions design to hide, which in turn socially forbid movement through social housing units. The design finishes with the built space becoming more open visually and inturn opening the space for easier exploration and intergration.
