The Brief: Teams were asked to focus on improving and areas of the belconnen civic centre. my group developed a plan that would reintegrate the civic centres’ main path into its surroundings.

The Design: The intervention focus was to re-establish the belconnen librarys entrance. the original entrance was a small sliding door that was recessed into the building. the addition of an external structure that would open visual direction and focus a bypasser was the key goal. the new facade pins down just to the left of the front doors, and opens outwards to allow for bypassers of both main access and traffic points to develop a strong visual connection to the entrance.
